Elma Putri Tanbun is a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Dr. Michael Hans & Associates (“MHANSLaw”). She obtained her Bachelor of Law (S.H.) degree specializing in Business Law from the University of Airlangga (UNAIR), the first-rank university in Indonesia for its Law programs according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking (WUR) 2022. Her strong dedication to her academics and community activities earned her various accomplishments: honored to be the delegate of National Constitutional Court Debate Competition (Mahkamah Konstitusi);  awardee of the Scholarship of Academic Achievement Improvement by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristedikti); and winner of multiple competitions (Marvelaw UNNES, Constitutional Court Debate Competition in East Java Region, Internal Moot Court Competition FH UNAIR). Upon graduating, Elma has taken Special Education for Advocate Profession (PKPA) by Peradi, Contract Drafting Training by Jimly School Law and Government Contract Drafter Association (Asosiasi Perancang Kontrak) and several other trainings.

 

Prior to becoming an Associate Legal Assistant at MHANSLaw, Elma was a legal researcher and writer, and interned at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in the East Java Regional Office in Indonesia. As a Paralegal at MHANSLaw, her main responsibilities include but are not limited to drafting legal documents; researching and analyzing of countries, regulations, legal provisions, documents, and other data; meetings with clients, lawyers, the court and other professionals for consultations; conducting legal research and providing assistance in preparing for trials, hearings or other legal procedures; filing and organizing documents.
